Terms of Service

1. The service

Ascend is a self-improvement RPG that turns real-life habits into quests, XP, and streaks. We provide the app "as is" and continuously improve it. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

2. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/UK without parental consent). Keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.

3. Acceptable use

  • No scraping, abusing rate limits, or attacking the service.
  • No impersonation or harassment of other users.
  • No reverse engineering the AI prompts or gateway.

We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.

4. Ascend Pro (paid plan)

Ascend Pro is €9.99/month with an optional 3-day free trial. Payment is processed by Stripe and renews automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from Profile → Subscription; access continues until the end of the paid period.

Right of withdrawal (EU): By starting your trial and using Pro features, you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that the 14-day cooling-off period does not apply to digital services already delivered.

Refunds: We do not refund partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.

5. AI Coach

The AI Coach generates text based on your profile and prompts. It is not professional medical, psychological, fitness, or financial advice. Do not rely on it for critical decisions.

6. Content & IP

You retain ownership of the missions and content you create. You grant us a limited license to store and display them so the app works. The Ascend brand, design, and code are ours.

7. Disclaimer & liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breaches of these terms.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
