Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

  • Account data: email, hashed password (or Google sign-in identifier).
  • Profile data: username, chosen goals, character class, level, XP, streaks.
  • Activity data: missions you create or complete, daily bonuses claimed.
  • Payment data: handled by Stripe — we only store subscription status, not card details.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser/device info, basic usage logs.

2. How we use it

To run the app, save your progress, calculate streaks and ranks, power the optional AI Coach (Pro plan), process payments, and protect against abuse (rate limiting, fraud detection).

3. AI Coach

When you use the AI Coach, your messages plus a summary of your public profile (username, class, level, stats, goals) are sent to our AI provider to generate a reply. We do not sell this data and it is not used to train external models.

4. Sharing

We only share data with infrastructure providers we need to run Ascend: Supabase (database & auth), Stripe (payments), and the AI gateway. We do not sell personal data.

5. Your rights (GDPR)

You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. You can also delete your account, which removes your profile, quests, and completions. Anonymized aggregate stats may be retained.

6. Public leaderboard

If you keep your profile public (default on), other users can see your username, level, streak, rank, and weekly XP. Toggle to hidden in Profile → Privacy at any time.

7. Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. Payment records are kept for the period required by tax law (typically 7 years).
